Tara Bomberger, Owner of McMinnville Cycle & Sport: Tara has been involved in athletics her entire life. She played volleyball and softball for many years, has run two marathons, one half-marathon, and will be training for her first triathlon this spring. Many friends refer to her as a cardio-aholic!
After moving to McMinnville in late 2004 and having her second child, Tara knew she needed to get back to the gym. Wanting something a bit more exciting than the usual treadmill workout she took her first indoor cycling class. Immediately she was hooked and soon started teaching classes.
Tara trained in Oregon and Washington and became certified through Schwinn as an indoor cycling instructor. Next she decided to open her own studio, and share the invigorating indoor cycling experience with McMinnville.
Away from the cycle studio, Tara enjoys traveling with her husband and two kids, loves fashion and is an avid Duck fan!
Cyra Kloninger, Instructor: Cyra has been working in the fitness industry for 9 years at a local gym. Cyra and her husband JP have recently opened McMinnville Crossfit, who will be sharing studio space with McMinnville Cycle and Sport. Cyra is an expert in the SCOTT Pilates training method, has extensive experience in group exercise, been leading Boot Camps for women and teaching cycling classes.
Cyra loves training for events. Her 2010 event schedule included the Shamrock Run 15k, the Race for the Roses Half Marathon, the Blue Lake Women only Triathlon and the crazy fun Warrior Dash.
Outside of the gym, Cyra likes to go on long bike rides and short runs. She is a facebook-a-holic, and loves to travel with her husband JP and kids. Church on the Hill is a big part of her life.
Tracy Phillips, Instructor: Tracy has led boot camps, been a personal trainer, and taught indoor cycling classes for over five years. She loves triathlons (run, bike, swim, oh my!) and in 2011 plans to complete her second half ironman. 2011 will also bring more long distance running -- Tracy plans to run her third marathon in June and finish with a time that will qualify her for the epic Boston Marathon. An outdoor cyclist who regularly participates in Reach the Beach -- an outdoor ride to Pacific City -- Tracy loves indoor cycling classes because they are a great way to stay in shape year round without having to cope with the foul Oregon weather. She is married with three children ages 15, 13, and 12. In her spare time she loves to travel, hike, swim, bike and hang out at the beach.
